Chris Webber and his longtime girlfriend Erica Dates had a small Atlanta wedding on September 5.  The wedding took place in Webber’s home with 200 of his closest family and friends.  It’s crazy because a lot of media outlets were reporting that this wedding took place last year.  I wonder how Tyra feels about all of this?  Do you notice that she tears up everytime she talks about this relationship?  Who else is very excited to see her real hair on her show today?

Let’s hope this marriage lasts longer than their “friends” did…

Brandy posted a new look on Twitter.  Everybody is rocking short looks these days, either chopping it off or opting for wigs.  I must say, this look does suit her.

Lil Wayne’s baby mamas decided to get together for a performance by the OMG Girls.  It’s nice that they are so cool with each other even though Wayne dated them both simultaneously a few times. 

Let’s just say that Toya got a new improved future baby daddy.  Her new man is BEYOND an upgrade!  In case you don’t know, he’s James Hardy of the Buffalo Bills.  Gon’ Toya!

Nas celebrated the birth of his son, in Queensbridge projects.  The baby was born yesterday morning and is named Knight.  Nas states that the name is fitting because his child is “the son of a king.” Congrats to the happy (but feuding) parents.

Insiders at Allhiphop have released information stating that Nas didn’t get to the hospital until several hours after his estranged wife Kelis started labor but when he got there, he wasn’t allowed in the hospital room.

“Nas is in New York City today, anxiously awaiting the arrival of his son. It was his intention to be there for the birth, but unfortunately he has not been allowed to be present. While this is clearly heartbreaking to him, Nas continues to offer his support and love to his new baby boy and his mother.”

Yesterday, Nas and Kelis welcomed their brand new baby boy.  I wonder if this will bring them closer together…

Kelis didn’t show up to court because she is currently in labor.  She was due in court to day to fight her estranged husband, Nas, for child support  and medical expenses for prenatal care.  She is in the hospital right now preparing to deliver the couple’s first child, a baby boy, Nas has a daughter from a previous relationship.  Nas isn’t with her at the hospital BUT everyone’s wondering if he will show up to court.  Could you imagine Nas showing up to bash his ex while she’s laid up in a hospital bed trying to bring their son into the world?  He needs to just come up off the dough and give it a rest.

Lately, We’ve been inundated with celebrity hook-ups, break-ups and make-ups.  Kanye and Amber Rose, T.I. and Tiny, Nas and Kelis, Usher and Tameka the list goes on and on.  The latest celeb breakup news is that Tyrese is telling his ex-wife that she needs to get a job.  Tyrese claimed, in court papers that were filed last Thursday, that he has paid $75,000 worth of his former wife’s professional fees even though they had a prenup.  The prenup was supposed to resolve everything between the couple besides expenses for their small child.  Tyrese is now tired of taking care of his ex-boo and he wants her to take care of her damn self.  Here’s the kicker, although Tyrese and his girl were together for 5 years, they were only married for ten months.  They met in London where she was an unemployed college student and she dropped out of school to move to the US with “Baby Boy.”  Now she’s left with their daughter, no education and no job.

Nas has decided to make a statement about his funds after Kelis blasted him for leaving her high and dry.  According to TMZ:

Nas has fired back in his bitter divorce case with Kelis claiming he’s paid her more than she says and he makes less than she thinks.

For starters, Kelis claims Nas raked in $11 million for his album deal. Nas fired back in legal papers, “I did not receive even half that amount”… claiming it’s more like $4 mil. Nas claims his income is declining, and he’s only pulling in $147,165 a month.

As for what he spends … $71,371.96 a month, which includes $10,000 a month in clothing/hair/toiletries/personal effects.

Kelis, who is about to give birth to their child, claims Nas hasn’t paid a penny for child or spousal support since he left her. Nas, who says he wants to be “fully involved” in the parenting of their child, claims he’s agreed to pay $350 for a stroller, $450 for a baby sling and $1,598 for two cribs.

Nas thinks $5,000 a month is reasonable for child support since the kid will just be a newborn.

This is getting so messy and I don’t know who’s right in this situation.  I know when you have lived a certain lifestyle that you would want to continue living it but 5K is more than enough for a newborn.  BUT if Nas is spending $10,000 a month on toiletries for himself than he better come off more than that for diapers, milk, nannies and everything else that the baby will need.  $450 for a baby sling? I can get ‘em one for 20 bucks and they can give me the change.  I just hope that Kelis isn’t too stressed out and that her health is all good.

Kelis claims that she’s flat broke and Nas is not doing a darn thing about it!  She claims that he is filthy rich but refuses to support her or their unborn child.  Kelis claims that she has run out of money and is asking a judge to order Nas to pay up.  Here’s the story from TMZ:

“Kelis claims estranged hubby Nas has left her high and dry … not offering her a penny in the wake of her impending birth … and she says she’s broke — “I have run out of money.”

Kelis filed legal papers claiming Nas isn’t paying her support, pre-natal expenses — nothing, even though she claims he is filthy rich.

Kelis is asking the judge to order Nas to pay spousal support, child support, all pregnancy-related expenses, and one-half of all medical expenses after the child is born. She also wants $3,500 for the baby nurse after the child’s birth, and $20,000 for strollers, cribs and other baby supplies.

Kelis says, “My survival is based on [Nas'] will at this time. If he does not want to pay for an expense, it does not get paid.” The couple was married in 2003. The baby is due this month.

Kelis says she’s entitled to maintain the lifestyle to which she became accustomed during their marriage — they have five homes, fly first class, go to fancy restaurants, and on and on. Most interesting — “There were many expensive pieces [of jewelry] such as a princess-cut diamond tennis bracelet that was recently appraised for $190,000. My engagement ring is an approximately nine-carat cushion-cut diamond solitaire. I have numerous watches…such as Cartier, Rolex, Frank Muller and Chopard”

This is a horrible turn of events but it leads me to believe that Nas doesn’t think that this child is his.  I would hate to think that the man who wrote songs to motivate the youth like “I Know I Can” would turn his back on his family like that.  There must be some deep issues that we have yet to find out about.   This fiasco as well as Usher’s divorce, is going to make for a very interesting year…

A very pregnant Kelis has taken to twitter to vent about all types of things.  She’s been ranting about everything from downlow brothas to cheating husbands.  Are these just mindless twitter rants? Or are they directed at her now estranged husband Nas?  Their divorce seems to be bitter and getting worse everyday and after seeing Nasty Nas and Maxwell partying it up with groupies in a hotel room, I wonder if she’s just decided to put their relationship on blast on the most popular social networking site of the moment.  I couldn’t imagine going through a divorce while 8 months pregnant but I’m sure her hormones are raging and she’s taking no prisoners.

Nas and Kelis are reportedly getting a divorce.  She’s 7 months pregnant and the baby, rumored to be a boy, is due this July.  I remember when they were considering a reality show based on their relationship.  I thought their marriage was safe when they decided not to do the show because those shows always seem to end in divorce.  It’s sad to see this union come to an end!  I heard that this divorce has been fueled by Nas’ cheating and abusive ways but  I also remember a rumor about Kelis being romantically linked to actress Dania Ramirez.  I’m not sure if any of that is true but if you want to see the divorce paperwork, check it out at VIBE.
