The Real Housewife of Cook County

A rep for Alicia Keys has announced that she is 4 months pregnant and is engaged to be married later this year.  This will be her first child and her fiance’s (Swizz Beatz of course) third.  I knew she was looking a little thicker than usual!  Now, is Swizz Beatz officially divorced from Mashonda, yet?  I guess the happy couple deserves congrats????  I wonder if Beyonce is gonna try to play catch up?

I absolutely adore this video.  Trey Songz and Keri Hilson portray a couple faced with an issue that is becoming far too common these days.  I’m happy to actually see a storyline in a video, again! Check it out:

Here’s a video that’s a little old that I never posted.  It’s just a few accessories like shoes and jewelry that  I picked up a little while back.  I picked this stuff up in preparation for spring and now it’s so rainy and gloomy in Chicago that I’m not in a very summery mood.  It feels like January instead of May but hopefully it will warm up soon!

I’m still busy with school and my home life but I’m trying to keep the blog updated a little bit.  I just posted a video to youtube of a few things that I picked up recently and decided to share with you guys too, of course!

Well ladies, for those of you who have been lusting over Lance Gross, you might have a chance now.  Lance and Eva have decided to call it quits just five months before the wedding.  I never really thought that their relationship was on the up and up.  I liked them together and I thought they made a beautiful couple but there was something that just wasn’t authentic about their relationship.  I don’t know if it was a publicity ploy or what but I just couldn’t put my finger on what was “off” about them.  They never really set a date for their wedding and then when they did, the date was just kinda thrown out there out of nowhere.  At any rate, it sucks that this beautiful brown couple won’t be having the gorgeous children that I was envisioning.  There are claims that they recently got into it over some groupie chicks sweating him in Miami over Superbowl weekend.  I don’t know how real that story is though because I remember pictures of him getting lapdances with Eva right in the vicinity.  So to all the ladies and fellas (how u doin?) that weren’t happy about this union, you got your wish.  Now go get yo’ man!!

I can’t wait for spring to finally get here.  It feels like winter has been for 5 seasons instead of just one and now that it’s warming up, I’m putting together my spring wardrobe and cleaning out all of the old stuff that’s clogging up my closet.  I’ve picked up three pieces that I’m especially proud of.  First, I got a harem pants jumpsuit and I love it.  I’ve wanted a pair of harem pants for a while and these are just perfect.  Since it’s a jumpsuit I don’t have to buy a top to go with it and that makes life a lot easier.

The jumpsuit kinda looks like this but it’s taupe.  For all of my Chicagonistas, I got it at Kham’ryn B. Shoes on the southside.  It’s a very cute boutique that offers shoes, accessories and clothes.  There’s even a men’s side too.   I go way back with the owners and they’re a pair of fab and fashionable sisters.  Check them out!

I also got a tan motorcycle style jacket that I can’t wait to wear with a wife beater, skinny jeans and statement jewelry.

I got a black leather motorcycle jacket too but I got this from The Leather Company.

Hey Peeps!

I have totally missed talking to all of you multiple times a day.  I was seriously going through blog withdrawals.  So, what have I been up to, you ask?  I have been doing all types of things! First and foremost, my baby is now a year old!  I feel like I just had her yesterday and time is totally flying.  I took a hair braiding class and learned how to do french braids, cornrows and extension styles.  I also started doing nail art and learned all types of tricks and techniques.  So, I have been productive with my time and now that I’m back in school, I have been sooooo busy!  But I missed the blog so much that I just couldn’t let it go.  I thought about getting rid of the site but I just couldn’t do it and I’m glad I didn’t.  So now that I’m back….let’s get crackin!

I know I have been neglecting the site but it’s all for a good cause.  As much as I would like to put life on pause and dedicate all my time to the maintenance of this site, I can’t, right at this moment.  I am embarking on a bunch of new adventures and just living life in general and being tethered to my laptop just ain’t working for me right now.  I’m going to align some things then I’ll be right back at it.  It’ll be like I never left!  I  miss talking to all of you folks!!!
